I received this watch as a present a little less than four years ago and I have loved it since. The band is easily adjustable and quite comfortable, and the watch itself is not as heavy or thick as one would expect; in fact it's quite compact. It's not garishly flashy and gigantic, but that's something I love about this watch. The functions are amazing. The the most used function on my watch is the Meteo function, which is essentially a barometer and a weather predictor. The hands indicate (based on temperature and barometric data) what the weather will be like in eight hours. Although not Doppler radar, it does usually tend to predict whether or not it will rain. I use the compass when I travel, and the compass has helped me navigate the streets of Singapore and Paris. The glass, after all these years, is truly scratch proof, as there is not a single scratch or blemish.
Even though I love this watch, I realize not that it's not meant to be worn 24/7. I only changed the battery once when I was in London just because there was a Swatch store, but the battery life seems average to above average. The numbers and letters around the bezel are painted on, and will fall off over time. Getting sand into the bezel will cause damage and may clog up the bezel. The bezel will scratch much more easily than the glass, and after a year of use looked unfortunately cheap and worn. Other owners have complained about the buttons falling off, but mine have stayed on so far. I have had a problem with the hands, and right now my hour hand is permanently stuck on 7. The digital clock works fine though, so I still wear it.
I have no idea what Swatch does when they service the watch, but it's very expensive. Just getting a routine service after warranty cost (for me at least) $350. With the hour hand stuck, I was told it would probably be around $450. Basically, it's near the cost of buying a new T-Touch. If you invest in this watch, you'll want to take care of it quite nicely, and take note of when the warranty expires.

Every Tag repair center will perform a pressure test after replacing the batteries to ensure that your watch is correctly sealed. I figure the extra price gives me peace of mind especially since the authorized service centers require that you have your certificate of authenticity, which Amazon does not provide. Once the 2 year Amazon warranty runs out, any battery and pressure test service will cost you additional money. With tax and all, I ended up a good amount above the Amazon cost, but still not MSRP. These watches are tough and will last you a long time. It then took me quite some time to receive any further information as to where the watch went, who has it, what they are doing with it, when I will get it back. Of course, all this time, I was still thinking I had an $800 watch. I finally receive, after persistence once again, information that they sent it back to "the factory" and I cannot call them because Time Tech sent it to them and is the customer, not me, so they will not talk to me. OK, fair enough, after all I am getting my watch fixed for free, it is a warranty issue obviously--what happens next? I receive an estimate for $400, $245 minimum from TIME TECH. Where is the estimate from "the factory" or is the watch being repaired under warranty and Time Tech is charging me $245.00 to coordinate it? Also, why could I not send it to the factory in the first place? At this point I am thinking of tossing the watch and regretting the whole purchase--I can't even sell it, it doesn't work, and functional used one can be purchased for $290.00 on ebay--that is what I am being charged just to get mine back. Really nice watch. But a couple of notes to share with prospective purchasers. If you have a smaller wrist and have to remove more than one or two links, the watch may fit a little funny because of the way the bracelet and the clasp are made. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider. Removing links is a bit different than most watches. You remove the initial pin like on most watches, but then the pieces come off in halves--one is loose, and the other has to be unscrewed (tiny screw, so if you have poor eyesight, take it to a jeweler). I checked on-line and found some great instructions on removing the link. It keeps excellent time for an automatic watch--you will probably need to adjust the time about once a month. This watch is simple stylish and understated, but not plain.

As buying watches online and reviewing them is not my main deal, so I will focus only on a few details I think may be relevant. I will not be comprehensive, as I believe your choice will mostly be aesthetically and brand based, with a nod to price as well, none of which I will bother to advise on.

The band for this watch has been a focal point in the 2 other reviews that exist at this point. As there are no instructions for how to open the clasp in the many booklets that come in the box (it really is a box of considerable homage to Tissot, even including a novella on the history of the watch) , I suggest before buying this watch, go into a good high-end watch dealer where you will be dotes over and try it on first. I enjoyed sitting in sumptuous surrounds being attended to in a very high end watch store on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich Switzerland, trying the watch on to be sure I loved it.

They showed me how to open the clasp, which is solid, works faster and is much better than a buckle which kinks and frays the leather anyway.

It is a simple mechanism. With the watch facing away from you, clasp the edge of the band between thumb and forefinger and pull up. There are two hinges.

I have showered with the leather band, and it soaks up the water but dries happily without any crisping up or other issues. I just wore it a notch looser for a few hours...

Size of face: I have large hands and thin celtic wrists. This watch is fine. It certainly is not in the "oversized range" . This watch face has girth / radius of 40mm, as oppose to the enormous 52mm IWC inspired watches out there.

Importing to Switzerland. A good idea. Buying from this provider means the country of manufacture is clearly labelled and the package is exempt from import duty, tax and general post office hassles. This meant a saving of about CHF100 off the retail of 365 Swiss francs.

Really nice-looking watch - a touch more feminine than my last grey/blue Timex Ironman that I received as a gift (that crapped out when I went swimming with it... so much for water resistant to 100m - I didn't even go 10ft and water got it and broke it). Anyways, it took a little getting used to seeing the seconds tick by on the top row, with the day and date showing but not the month, but it was an easy adjustment. The buttons are a little smaller than those on the Ironman so it's good I have small fingers to push them (though I have to push them a couple of times before it takes effect on occasion). The only other thing I wish I could change was the beeping sound that you can't turn off whenever you change mode or do any setting changes. Two things I don't like:
First, The date shows in the date window. The position will change after half day. Even in the afternoon, it will show 90% of current date and 10% of next day. Usually the date will change after 20:00 for other watches.

I have had 3 of these after a year all started going haywire the backlight started coming on with arm movement running battery down.

I had originally bought one and thought maybe I had somehow messed it up. so I bought another one , it too started the same thing backlight comes on with arm movement about 1 year old,

in the mean time I had never said anything about the watch to my wife since right after I got the first one when it worked good and was happy with it. not having told her about the disgust, I had developed with it

she thought I was happy with it and gave me one with a gold anodized face, after 1 year or so it did the same thing backlight comes on with arm movement, they all still work but I have to leave them under a lamp we leave on all the time facing up to charge since they are solar, I wear one until it runs down, then switch watches, with all 3 I can keep time . Casio priced me a repair that was 25% more than have we ever paid for any of these. For about $100 this is a very decent watch. It looks good and keeps accurate time. It's not a Rolex, but I didn't pay for one. The chrono model was chosen because it looks cool, and frankly I haven't even made use of that feature. 1- The watch box (case) is very dirty and scratched everywhere.

2- The Warranty Card is missing.

3- The manual inside the box is for a totally different watch/model.

Skagen Men's 331XLSL1 Steel Brown Leather Multi-Function Watch Best Quality

I owned this watch for 2.5 years. It is nice and slim (although not in Citizen Stilletto territory), has a nice looking dial and can be worn casually and at work. The date/week/hour little hands readout is poorly designed as the print is too small to read easily, and white-on-white hands, while attractive, lack contrast needed to tell time quickly and I often find myself doing a double-take. need a double-take. However, I this is the real reason I cannot recommend this watch: within a month of use, the watch crystal cracked with the slightest of impacts, and had to be replaced by Skagen. The band itself is very stiff (even after leather conditioner treatment) and started to discolor with use, turning a near-black shade of brown and frayed/disintegrated at clasp point after less than 8 months of use. Skagen has a ridiculous proprietary screw-down watch band system which no one else stocks and sells replacements for, and the only way to get a replacement is to fork over $35 to Skagen and wait for 2-3 weeks for them to ship you the same stiff, problematic watch band.
