I purchased this watch with the thought of ruggedness in mind. I was impressed with the style when I first received it. I noticed that most of the positive reviews here were from customers that also enjoyed the looks and haven't had the watch for a long period of time. Also note that reviews on this watch on other websites explain the same problems. After about a month a noticed that from moving indoors to outdoors, Condensation could be seen under crystal. Not even near as water resistant as they advertise. The watch battery ran down after 2 months. No big deal, I replaced it. Then, Because the case is plastic, the wristban bar wore out the hole on the case so that the watch kept falling off. O.K. I JB welded the hole and made it smaller once again. Next the tritium gas tube fell off the second hand. and floated around inside the case. I was beginning to get annoyed. So a few days later the gas tube got stuck under the hour hand a jammed the movement. I was able to free it up but was not confident in the watch at this point. It ran for another 5 days and then stopped on it's own. Frazzled, I placed it in my workbench vice and destroyed it. I felt so much better. After all of this I would suspect that you would ask, "Why didn't you have it serviced under the warrenty?" Well, That's because if you go to their website, there warranty and replacement policy is an absolute JOKE! They expect you to jump through hurdles to get this watch even looked at. Ridiculous! I've had this automatic chronograph for a little over 3 years now. I wear it to work every day (I work in a restaurant) and really just beat the h*** out of it, bang it on hard surfaces, get it close to really hot heat sources, submerge it in water, you name it. It still looks really great despite a few nicks in the black part of the bezel. Every Saturday night I get home from work and clean it under running water with a mild soap and a tooth-brush, and it ends up looking almost new. It took a little while to get used to the feel of it on my wrist (Its heavier then any of my old Omegas I used to own) but after a week or two it felt like it was made for me. So after 3 years and much uncalled for abuse, it only loses a few minutes a month. The chronograph is exceptionally accurate, and very useful when cooking. Bezel still turns like new. Its very versatile and looks just as good with a suit as it does jeans and boots. My one and ONLY complaint is that it is becoming rather ubiquitous these days. I see on average 1 person a week with the same exact model (Black dial). I suppose its my fault for not having more unique taste in my timepieces, but its still rather annoying. I received my Invicta yesterday, and this my 3rd Invicta.
I did my homework as watch study and searched online. Feel like need to give some review as a return customer of Invicta.
Like most of the others, what Invicta firstly attracts me is its Swiss made, the look and the price, the unbeatable discount at Amazon. "It can't go wrong!" I told myself.
I have noticed a few changes on my orders,
* Band - my 1st Invicta has "Invicta" on every single link at the back of the band. And the Invicta logo on the clasp. They no longer have that any more. The latest one I just received is not even a good match to the watch itself.
* Dial window material - has been changed from "Sapphire crystal" to something called "flame fusion" which no one can tell what exact it is.
* "Swiss made" has been changed to "Swiss movement" at the back cover
I understand they have to somehow cut corners to make the price profitable. But it should be reasonable and acceptable. And we don't know who called for the changes, Invicta or Amazon.
I won't say I will walk away from Invicta. Watches I got are not perfect, but decent still, good for everyday, and well worthy the money.
Just want to remind all the coming ones be realistic for what to expect for the money you paid.

I have used several HRM (polar, timex,etc) but never a GPS Watch with HRM. Although pricey, this works as advertised.
Setup is very simple, going in minutes. Operation is basic. GPS is solid,, display of distance and pace is excellent.
The Auto Lap feature is great...assume standard on GPS watches but one that helps me nicely.
I use the watch for biking too, distance, speed and HR all logged and managed separately once uploaded to website/pc.

Downloading to garmin connect website and/or the pc version of the software is quick and easy via USB.

No issues. I do wish you could define custom zones for HR and I wish it beeped like others when you are under/over target range...but that too can be annoying.

I'll preface this review by admitting that I'm a little strange. I generally don't buy things for myself, and have also been told on more than one occasion that I'm difficult to buy presents for.

I really like a nice watch, so every once in a blue moon I indulge myself with a watch. When I say once in a blue moon, my last watch purchase (also a TAG) was about 15 years ago.

Recently I was in Switzerland on a business trip, and learned that watch stores are EVERYWHERE there.....so I ended up looking in multitudes of watch store windows and of course drooling. As the watches were all made there in Switzerland, I thought I might indulge myself there with a bargain, but all the decent watches (including this one) were priced at $2,000 and up.

So I looked in the duty free store, and made pretty much the same discovery.

Having seen both the Longines collection as well as the TAG's, I was bitten by the bug, and was on a mission to find a new watch. I did a bunch of web searching, and after hours on the web ended up........here on Amazon. Which made me feel pretty stupid, as I'm a Prime member and shop here regularly, so was kicking myself for not just coming here in the first place.

Which brings me (finally, I know....) to the point of this review.

I'm a little bit of a watch snob, but one who is on at least a bit of a budget. This is a beautiful watch, that feels and performs as one would expect of a high end Swiss watch -- but for around a thousand less than I could find anywhere else.

Two thumbs up for this one.

(unlike an otherwise excellent Seiko that I have - which has poor contrast, and in poor light is unreadable). Why only 4 stars? I have slim wrists, and this big watch looks slightly too bulky for me. I read the reviews and ordered the watch along with 2 of the replacement bands mentioned in other customer reviews. First of all, the stock band is fine...I do not feel tortured by it...I have even slept with it on 3 times. It feels like all my other G-Shock watches. This may be because I have a relatively small wrist, and this is one of the few watches that fit me out of the box...without adjustment or replacement. Having the band tightened down where the watch does not move back and forth on your arm, will cause the band to bother you. However, you do not have to wear it so loose on your arm as to have it drop to your wrist every time you put your arm at your side...for it to be comfortable. My suggestion...order the watch first...wear it a few days...then see if you want to replace the band. Note that the replacement bands are squared at the watch end, and the Casio bands conform to the watch casing, providing a very clean look. Casio says it takes approximately 20-30 minutes *after you take the watch off and set it down* for the case temperature to stabilize (and allow you to actually measure the temperature). Really we are talking around 45 minutes or more! Here are two sets of readings I took while attending a meeting. I took off the watch and set it on the table. This was a fair size classroom at UCLA Extension, no drafts, seemingly stable temperature. The temperatures were taken roughly every 5 minutes. Set 1: (25.1, 24.7, 24.4, 24.2, 24.1, 23.8, 23.7, 23.6, 23.5, 23.4, 23.4, 23.3, 23.4, 23.5). Set 2: (28.1, 27.9, 26.6, 25.7, 25.1, 24.6, 24.3, 24.1, 24.0, 23.9, 23.8, 23.7, 23.7). I took two more sets, but why engage in overkill repeating them here. This makes the temperature sensor virtually worthless IMHO.

The altimeter readings are horribly inconsistent. Driving west over the LA River on the 10: 65m; Driving back east: 50m. On the 10 where it crosses the 405 west: 5m. Going back east: 30m. I've measured a number of other locations and although there is some rough agreement (10 or 20m), there is really no reliable consistency. Altitude is at best a toy in this watch.

Those were the two features that interested me, and both are ultimately worthless. However, this watch is easier to read than my last G-Shock. The stopwatch is still there. I wasn't so much concerned about getting a fake since I was dealing with Amazon. Although, this watch came from [...]. I still checked it out once I got it in my hands. It's real. All the proper imprints were on the watch and all the Tag packaging was included - minus the Tag Heuer Warranty card. I examined it very closely with my Belomo folding magnifier. (Got an excuse to use my magnifier.) Also, the band is definitely authentic.
I paid $[...] for this watch. The very same watch sells at Neiman Marcus for $[...]. The only difference is you get a two year factory warranty from Tag. This watch has a three year warranty from the seller. I don't know what their service is like so that is an unknown. I do have to say I had Tag automatic which I sent back to Tag three times. The last two times were one year apart. They wanted $[...] to preform the exact same service. So I said to return it and I bought this crystal watch instead.

I had been eyeing this watch for awhile now, but the only thing that kept me from buying it were all the reviews regarding the bezel of the watch, and how it was mis-aligned with the 12 o'clock mark at the top. Small detail some would say, but nonetheless, it probably would have bothered me just enough not to like it. In addition, Amazon was out of stock and was only offering this watch through different vendors, so I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning it with a 3rd party involved.

Luckily, I was checking out this watch again and saw that Amazon had some in stock!! (3 to be exact..) So I went ahead and decided to make the purchase..Good thing I did too because they ran out the next day!

The package came, and to my relief, the bezel was ALIGNED!! It does have some play to it as other reviewers have mentioned, but otherwise, I completely LOVE the watch. It is rather heavy, but I like my watches that way. I consider myself to have small wrists, and had to remove 6 links to get it to fit correctly. But the end result was a very fine looking watch added to my small collection.
