I considered buying this watch and asked a good friend who owns one. He said his watch stopped working after 5 yrs. Cartier said the watch has to be sent in for preventive maintenance every 3-5 yrs at a cost of $700. I don't think I want to spend $5000 on a watch where I need to fork over $700 every 3 years.
